Terms of Service

Effective date: 2026-04-19. These terms govern your use of KarasuMatchmaking, including ranked play, KarasuClient requirements, subscriptions, support, and moderation.

1. Acceptance

By using the platform, you agree to these terms and all posted policies. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

• Player identity uses Steam authentication.
• You are responsible for account security and session usage.
• You may not share accounts to evade moderation or rank penalties.

3. Required KarasuClient

Ranked queue access requires an active and healthy KarasuClient session. If KarasuClient is missing, disabled, tampered, or unhealthy, queue or match access may be denied, interrupted, or restricted.

4. Match Participation Rules

• Only authorized participants may join live match slots.
• Team assignments are enforced by backend and server plugin.
• Unauthorized joins, team-switch abuse, and match disruption are prohibited.
• Map veto timing rules and auto-timeout behavior are binding.

5. Competitive Integrity and Prohibited Conduct

• Cheating, exploiting, griefing, boosting, and intentional match abuse are prohibited.
• Harassment, hate speech, and abusive behavior are prohibited in tickets and chat contexts.
• Attempts to bypass compliance checks or platform restrictions are prohibited.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

Staff may issue warnings, queue restrictions, temporary bans, or permanent platform bans. Enforcement decisions are based on available evidence, including match logs, reports, and ticket history.

7. Appeals and Disputes

You may appeal moderation actions or disputed matches through the ticket system. Staff may request additional evidence and may uphold, reduce, or remove penalties at their discretion.

8. Karasu+ Subscription

• Tier: Karasu+.
• Price: EUR 5 per month.
• Payment provider: PayPal.
• Benefits may include queue priority, profile cosmetics, and visible badge entitlements.
• Entitlements depend on an active subscription and may be revoked on cancellation, chargeback, or prolonged payment failure.

9. Billing, Renewals, and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew according to provider state. You may cancel recurring billing from the platform flow and/or provider controls. Failed payments may move the subscription to past-due state and suspend Karasu+ entitlements.

10. Demos, Content, and License

Match demos are stored for integrity and review. Participants and staff may access eligible demos. You may not use platform content in ways that violate law, third-party rights, or competitive integrity standards.

11. Service Availability

We aim for reliable uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance, incidents, and third-party outages may temporarily affect queueing, matches, billing, or support features.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as-is" basis. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data resulting from platform use.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as features, operations, or legal requirements change. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
